Do you really like Lassi Thomson? I feel like the Leafs would pay an arm and a leg for a giant RD like Parayko.

I personally don't know much about him or have watched him play. I know Ottawa is looking for a RHD and assuming the Blues continue to play .500 hockey, I'm just throwing out ideas to 1) shed cap space & 2) try and build somewhat of a prospect pool. Considering the Blues have hardly any RHD prospects, seems plausible to me..Not sure what Parayko's true value is now TBH.

Ottawa accepts.

Colton Parayko does not.

If you think an arm and a leg is Pierre Engvall or David Kämpf or Alexandre Kerfoot that's not an arm and a leg Lol.

I'm not really a fan of the idea of trading Behrens, but the Avs take that and run for the hills!

I believe the Leafs would throw a better offer out on Parayko if he were to become available.

Meaning 1st + Niemela (similar to what is proposed) but no dead cap for next year in Zaitzev. Our cap would be for this year only. Plus another pick (2nd or 3rd). Plus a B prospect.

I'd add a 2nd for parayko if he was available and if he was willing to come to Ottawa

Lassi Thomson already has some NHL qualities, particularly offensively. He has a great shot and great skill/creativity offensively

But some parts of his game are not NHL level yet, mostly on the defensive side of the puck

He can play well defensively but he'll probably never be more than average. He will most likely be a 3rd pairing D-man at ES with some PP time and sometimes play on a higher pairing to stimulate the offense. But who knows? He might develop into a 2nd pairing D-man, he's still only 22 y/o

He has great stats in the AHL and has been doing well overall. I'd say he's still worth a late first but more like 2nd next season if he doesn't start making more of a mark at the NHL level until then.

Dude our first round pick is so much better than your first round pick and so is our prospect. Toronto would need to add more

So is every single comment you make. You act like every Blues player is worth McDavid ++ in a trade. It's ridiculous

My absurd and unlikely Parayko idea I came up with today was to Edmonton for Bouchard. Sorta in the doghouse but expected numbers (offensive at least) are elite. Parayko would hopefully waive cuz he’s a yeg kid.

My caveat if they do that is that they need to move or lose Faulk or Krug too

Muh huh. Cool straw man. Meanwhile, you're trading for players you admit you don;t even know, trading a player a bunch of teams drool over for trash, trading the captain to a hated division rival for peanuts, adding cap in a Barby trade, max retention for everyone! Bru. Tal.

I think the Avs take that and run as much as I'm not in favour of trading Behrens. The Blues could certainly get more I believe.
