If anything, that will be Vancouver's responsibility.

I would not do Zaitsev for Myers 1 for 1 (and an additional 1.5 AAV)

I would not even do the swap with 1.5 retention Myers

The 2 are really bad, lateral movement at best

Ottawa would absolutely have to add a sweetener. Myers is an NHL caliber dman, Zaitsev is not. The 1.5M in cap difference isn’t enough for Vancouver to do it straight up when their defence is bad enough already. Ottawa adds a sweetener

Zaitsev lesser QoT and harder QoC too

Myers is not better than Zaitsev. I would not do this swap, even if Vancouver retains 1.5 AAV

I would have done it a few months ago but then I watched Myers play. It is horrific

I am team switzerland in the trade, I dont think it should be something that the Canucks should look at

to be fair that Myers card is coming off of his worst season ever and Zaitzev is current.

COL just can’t make a Horvat trade working because he’s a pure rental. They can’t give up their only pick in the draft, their top d prospect and a guy slated for the bottom 6 for a pure rental.

I came young and was a soccer and tennis player... I continued but not for long as I started baseball and got addicted to hockey right away
