    I mean...if the Hawks win the lottery...there's literally nothing VAN can offer. He fits perfectly with the rebuild. Not even EP.

    Nobody with the first overall pick is going to trade it. We can just wait until he hits free agency in like 2030

    I doubt it gets that far without a trade or some type of ultimatum. But if they offer him a big enough number before he turns 25, he will almost have to sign it. If he elects for arbitration, he has to accept whatever the arbitrator says. If he gives them any idea that he is lining up his contract with UFA status and wants out, they will trade him for a kings ransom before that.
