I suppose that is a fair point, although he is 2nd in scoring it does feel as though he isn't as dominant has past years

Quoting: mondo
he's second in points though

5v5 points - 20th
5v5 xG/60 - 366th
5v5 points/60 - 66th
5v5 xG% w/o McJesus - 44%
Draisaitl has to be better than this to be a top 10 C in my view, the guys I listed blow him out of the water at 5v5.
Owing to how ridiculously lethal Drai is one the powerplay I think it's fair to currently rank him in the 11-14 range of centers.
But it doesn't seem like he is anywhere near his highest levels between 2018 - 2022 playoffs.

(no goalie)

All they need is Jean-Francois Berube and they'd be able to ice an entire lineup of J's.

Anderson - Drouin - Ylonen
Edmundson - Barron
Berube

Who would be a good replacement for DJ Smith?

If the Sens finally give Rikard Grönborg a shot at a NHL coaching job I'll make them my 2nd favorite team.

Yes but not for any major assets that include any of the 2023 1st, Pinto, Greig or JBD. Every other prospect can go

this picture has me thinking: do the Oilers have bad helmets or just an absolute ton of guys with weird head shapes (pic related)

in all honesty: Cappy is great, he was perfect for those kinda good/kinda bad Islanders teams of the mid-2010s. Dudes played their hearts out for him. Give him an assistant who's good with defensive tactics and I think he'll have a hell of a run in his next stop.

Rich Tocchet's name has been floating around as a possible replacement for Bruce in Vancouver. Why not pursue him for the Sens job?

Why not Mike Babcock? Does he have too much baggage from his Leafs days? Clearly, the Sens need an established coach with credibility and discipline.

Benoit Groulx - coaching the Tampa Bay Lightning’s AHL team. His name was linked to the Coyotes and Canadiens the last time they had vacancies.

Mike Vellucci - one of Mike Sullivan’s assistants in Pittsburgh. He took the Charlotte Checkers to a Calder Cup victory in 2018, interviewed for the Bruins’ coaching vacancy after they fired Cassidy – and for the Flyers’ vacancy.

Ryan Huska - Flames’ AHL affiliate and now apprentices under Darryl Sutter at the NHL level in Calgary. Huska interviewed for the Detroit vacancy over the summer.

Ryan Warsofsky - right there in the Sharks’ coaching hunt before they opted for David Quinn in the end. They ended up hiring Warsofsky as an assistant coach. He coached a dominant Chicago Wolves squad to the AHL Calder Cup title last season.

No, I don’t think so. It certainly didn’t go as planned I’m sure for his development but he will only be 19 next year. Lots of time.

Will be interesting to see tho if they start him in the AHL next year or right back to the N
