CBJ aren't trading Texier, at least not before the draft. And two wingers (however talented) and a mediocre defenseman don't add up to the quality CBJ will need for Gavrikov.

Canucks decline. They want to retool and hope to be in competition by 2023 - whether that's wishful thinking or not is beside the point: a 2023 draft pick may help them by 2026, a 2024 almost certainly won't

Really. You guys should be tanking for Bedard.
It is a very very strong draft this year. Meaning you are at least 3/4 years out.

As I said "whether that's wishful thinking or not is beside the point" I personally think it's a stupid plan - but that's what they've stated, that's what ownership has done its entire existence, can't see it changing.

Yup, it's a ridiculous overpay. Thankfully Holland would never - he's never traded a 1st for a rental in his career.

I unlike you dont think JP is worth more than a 3rd and at this time is a cap dump we have to pay for. Yama is a 3rd line player, nothing more. Niemo isnt worth that much either. So the first is for Tex

Myers has time left on his contract. Broberg will be 20 minutes a night by next year. Maybe even this year. Myers cost is crazy too.

Columbus doesn't have roster space for both Yamo and Pulju. Pick one. And Texier, who's in the Players Assistance Program and will not be coming to North America at all this season, will not be traded, period.

23 year old center who can put the puck in the net. He is like a much better Yamamoto offensively but worse defensively. And he is a shooter.
