If only the games were actually entertaining. Players know the entire event is a joke and that's why they don't care. The early 2010's all star games were the best. Actual All-Stars would be nice. Actual competitive events. Hardest Slap Shot and speed competition and Fastest skater are entertaining because it's actual All-Star events. Not that stupid golf event or dunk tank snoozer

If the players thought the event was a joke, they just wouldn’t show up and propose to the NHLPA something else to replace it, they don’t put in effort because they don’t need to, they’re having fun and they don’t want to risk an injury which would affect the rest of their season

Guys the all-star skills wasn’t that bad. I personally found the dunk tank and the golf entertaining. I’m not a huge fan of the breakaway challenge, though. I just hope they bring the passing challenge back.
