Here's how it worked: Surveys were conducted over the past two months. Respondents were asked to rank their current top 10 players at center, winger, defenseman and goaltender based on a predetermined list of the top 25-35 players at each position. Players ranked on each ballot were given a numerical score -- No. 1 earned 10 points, No. 2 got 9 points and so on. Ten NHL players were surveyed -- six from the Eastern Conference, four from the Western Conference. They range from NHL award nominees to veteran role players. To balance that perspective, we surveyed 10 people from the hockey operations departments of NHL teams, including three coaches and three general managers. Combined, their insights led to rankings that go behind fan conjecture and media narratives to reveal the best of the best, at least according to those inside the NHL.

( 11 was Connor , tied for 12 was Svechnikov and Stone , 14 was Patty Kane, some execs spoke passionately about Brady Tkachuk, Landeskog and Bratt. Wyshynksi also mentions Meier, Svechnikov, Kreider and Guentzel as some HM's )

probably outlook and microsoft excel

it's not a scientific list, it's an aggrerate ranking of what people involving in the game view as the best players

Reports are saying the Canucks are willing to retain 25% on Boeser’s contract and that it will likely net them a good return. What do you think the Devils may offer if they strike out on Meier?

Parayko is barely worth anything positive. Getting a guy like Brannstrom and a 2nd , and Armstrong should be licking his fingers at the cap space possibility. Dorion would only do that if he’s desperate

Not sure. I doubt Fitzy has all his eggs in Meier basket, certainly not to the extent fans do.

Maybe the 1st alone or 2nd with decent prospect.

Literally traded away a good defensemen on a great contract for Petry and a 4th liner. Made 0 sense to me at the time, and makes 0 sense to me now.

I like Poheling but Petry was not what Pitt needed

Like u would think building around a young Dpair of Petterson-Marino would be good nah bring old Petry in

Then they bring all their old guys rather than go get Trocheck and other nice young pieces

I mean let's be honest, Poehling is a bust. He's averaged under 11 minutes a night in Pittsburgh. Petry is 35 and has 3 more years left... it's looking bad now, and it will only get worse as time goes on.

Once of the best games I've seen us play this year. Even though somehow we're being heavily outshot, we are dominating possession.
