I feel like you are going to need another prospect and a player to make this deal work

Luukonnen, Bloom, Asplund, Clague and a 2023 first for Demko and Miller

I would pass if I were the Buffalo GM. The Sabres are fourth in the League in goals scored, so I don't see Miller as a need. And there will be some very nice RD prospects available right where Buffalo will be selecting.

One other point which I should have mentioned . . . Buffalo is in the playoff hunt. They are 6 points behind Washington (second wild card) with 4 games in hand. The Sabres have a three-game California swing. If they can beat the Kings in the first game tomorrow, and we all know what happened the LAST time they played, then there's a good chance that by Sunday, they will have drawn even with the Capitals. In that light, it would be idiotic to trade their starting goalie for a guy we have no assurance will be healthy by April.

UPL seems legit. Him and Levi would be a great tandem for years to come. Miller is an albatross contract. High usage player, usually good in all situations (historically, he's definitely having a down season) and Demko fell off a cliff this season. Not sure either piece is ideal for a young Buffalo team.

Sabres can spend 13m a lot better than Miller/Demko. And you expect the Sabres to give up a first rounder also?
Don't know why any Vancouver fans would object to this trade. Certainly any GM can spend 13m better than Miller/Demko.
