Serious question: Have the preds ever done a full rebuild under Poile?

The damage it did to a strong Buffalo market is still being felt today. Can't see them taking that kind of risk for a market like Nashville.

Nope, Poile always makes hockey trades.. He needs to sell for the future they have a lot a good prospects coming soon.

I think he'll make room for the "future" but I suspect he'll be on brand and just make some hockey trades like you said. He's got Saros in net and Aksarov coming through. That alone should keep them a bubble team.

If the Kings wouldn’t trade Clarke for Chychrun why would they for Ekholm?

If you’re going to retain half on Nino, Canes would bring him back for a prospect + 2nd

Nino warrants the 1st, especially with the 50% retention and an additional year to boot.

LAK and NJD returns are overly optimistic. Clarke isn’t going anywhere and there’s not enough impact going to NJD for them to give up premium assets. A little bit more and they could get Timo instead for that package.

I don't know what is wrong with Fabbro, I like him for Sabres, but that price is too high for reclamation project.

I don't agree with your premise about buffalo.

Despite a big jump in year over year numbers, the Sabres are still bottom 5 in attendance. Idk where your disagreement is, the rebuild 100% had a lasting effect on attendance numbers. That's not an opinion, that's a fact lol.

We didn't lose fans because we decided to rebuild, we lost fans because the rebuild didn't work and then covid hit.

Had the team won before covid hit this doesn't happen.

Going this long without making the playoffs isn't normal and it isn't because we decided to punt on the 13-14 and 14-15 seasons

We can also talk about the condition of the arena, ticket prices and more too

That's my point though. Rebuild's carry a ton of risk, and if it not working out has a lasting effect on a strong fan base like buffalo, imagine what would happen if Nasvhille did a full tear down and had a similar outcome? It'd probably devastate the market.

Rebuilds carry no risk. It's a clean slate.

Also, Sabres averaged 17,167 in 19-20 and 9,155 in 21-22.

It's massively covid related

Highly doubt the Sabres are gonna give up that Philly 2nd,
especially since we might be trading our 1st

If u keep the 4th, and accept a lower pick from us, then maybe
Maybe

I think that his cost at deadline - 2nd round pick of a playoff team.
He is physical, and great at PK. Perfect addition for the bottom 6 in for the playoffs.
