The Canes won’t be helping the Canucks out of their screw up, especially if they are demanding a return like that.

The Canes will trade for Miller when you can find out how to get him in the 4-5m AAV cap hit range. Give them a call back when that is possible.

I wish the Canucks could buy out OEL, but buying him out would have a negative effect on the team for years.

TB CAN'T do salary for futures and wouldn't trade a 3rd for a guy they DIDN'T OFFER A CONTRACT TO JUST A YEAR AND A HALF AGO?!! UNLESS you think TBs coaching staff and management are so incompetent they didn't know what they had.

Save everyone from having to see Canucks fans constantly try to trade Miller to the Canes.

We have likely looked at swapping Myers for Zaitsev.

But Zaitsev likely has Vancouver on his no-trade list.

Sorry.

Ottawa declines. We've made it clear we'll pay to move him, that's the plan.

Why would the Canes take on that anchor of a contract for a notorious cancer? Absolutely not, not unless you're paying through the nose to dump that deal.

We'll keep our respective 'anchor' along with our 1st and Morrow. Agreed.

100%. Having him on the team for the remainder of the contract is worst case scenario

Buyout this offseason is the best time to do it. Save almost the whole cap hit next season. Next season is the only time that makes season imo

Being 24 doesn't mean he is worth his contract... What a poor argument. Maybe if you weren't so blinded by media, you'd know he is not the cancer you think he is. Bruce Boudreau recently talked about how everybody loves JT Miller, and that he is simply just comes off too strnog

After 30 players don't generally improve while,
At 24 guys usually get better and I have to believe Carolina's management sees him doing that. I didn't think you (collective) couldn't use some reasonable logic and come to the same conclusion. in your case I will never again assume you have the communal sense to apply logic. Have a great weekend.

Of course Bruce Boudreau said good things about him Bruce Boudreau is a completely class act. He'd never throw a guy under the bus like that even if he is the cancer a lot of people think he is. I'm sticking with teammates making fun of you on the bench when you're on the ice says a lot more about what players think of you than a really good guy being a really good guy.
