Army blitzkrieg

Created by: mokumboi
Team: 2022-23 St. Louis Blues
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 21, 2023
Published: Feb. 21, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Just my 'magination, once again...

Btw I meant to add Dickinson to the Bruins package.
Trades
1.
STL
  1. Avon, Jon-Randall
  2. Wisdom, Zayde
  3. 2023 3rd round pick (FLA)
PHI
  1. Abramov, Mikhail
  2. Krug, Torey ($1,000,000 retained)
Additional Details:
Let's put the pieces together. 1 - I feel like Fletcher is about to move an LD. 2 - The Flyers PP is an unorganized mess. 3 - Fletcher is a dummy, even if Krug would probably help them a lot for a couple seasons. 4 - While I can't figure out which teams are currently calling about Krug (or what the hell they might give for him), Philly is definitely in the correct general geographical location he'd prefer. So let's go with that.
2.
STL
  1. Smith, Craig
  2. 2023 1st round pick (BOS)
3.
STL
  1. Meier, Timo
Additional Details:
Timo inks a 7x8.125 to match up with Thomas and Kyrou, presumably his new linemates for years to come.
SJS
  1. Ellis, Colten
  2. 2023 1st round pick (BOS)
  3. 2023 1st round pick (TOR)
4.
STL
  1. 2023 5th round pick (LAK)

Would be alright with them retaining marginally on Krug just to give us the option for a different look on our defense even if nothing of value is really coming back. I don't think Armstrong is going to want to retain but I'm not sure aside from a hockey trade, where or how it's possible.

Would be fine with adding a marginal prospect to the Bruins deal like Dickinson as you stated.

In line with what i'd expect a deal with SJ to look like if we were seriously interested in Meier. Would imagine any 2 of the picks in the 24-32 range and a prospect not named Bolduc, Snuggerud, Neighbors. Could also see a guy like Perunovich or Brown being added to the deal as a roster player/project for the Sharks to add a bit of value as I don't think they're going to be long term solutions for us. I just don't see us moving a top end piece for Meier, i dont think that's what Armstrong is trying to accomplish with the sale of the UFAs.

Not sure anyone should have a whole lot of interest in Greiss, but its such a meaningless trade I have no issues with it, just not sure if someone would want either player.

Lol you can tell when there's a new team in on Meier because they always low-ball the hell out of the offers.

This isn't remotely close. Ellis can't even crack the AHL. And those firsts are gunna be very late

If a team is calling about krug, the conversation is, “if you eat 50% we’ll give you a bad contract for krug.”

I would take Krug but how about a 1 for 1 Sanheim for Krug. Sanheim needs to leave Philadelphia.

With a C prospect coming with Barb and you guys taking Smith, I think there's a deal there with the Bruins.

Hmm. That's not what Pagnotta said.

Amen. That offer is laughable. Also if he is signing an extension, he is not giving a mediocre Blues team a 1m per and a year less discount. No offense St. Louisans, this is Missouri we are talking about, not Florida.

Dude. Do you have any idea how many Blues players continue living in STL after being traded or retiring? Also not sure how two 23 1sts and a B goalie prospect is laughable, but fair enough. We'll see what he goes for.

Yeah call me when a real insider has something to say.

I don't want Krug on this team anymore than you do and would be thrilled if someone takes him off our hands but Pagnotta didn't say anything about what a potential deal looks like or who might be calling (he did both of those things for Parayko, and other people have reported about that as well). So your take that the Blues can dump him for basically no fuss is just as valid as the people who are saying that it's going to require money back. In fact, given the financial landscape of the league, if this is a trade deadline deal it's basically a dead certainty money does come back or it doesn't happen. No use in pretending like Pagnotta said anything to the contrary, because he barely said anything at all.

And again, that guys barely worth his salt. You'd be better off taking rumors from a twitter bot.

Heh. What part of Fletcher is a dummy did you miss? tears of joy Of course it seems like a pipe dream, but others have also said teams have called about Krug. I'm fully ready to hop on a magic carpet and grab a shooting star by the tail and jump over the moon with the spoon to see a painless Krug offloading. Let a brother dream!!
