Nope. Pittsburgh is oldest, then Washington, according to Eliteprospects

Ekholm+6th for Barrie+Schaefer+2023 1st+4th

if Edmonton got Ekholm...

...perhaps this means they're not getting anything for Gavi
and they can extend him
LIKE THEY SHOULD HAVE MONTHS AGO

quick math (no pun intended)

there's 21 games left for Columbus (~25% of the season left)

Quick makes 2.5m in base salary

If Quick sits out or just simply retire, he could lose 25% of his 2.5m salary, so 640k~

Umm, Gavrikov was already traded to LA, alongside Korpisalo.

For Quick+1st+3rd.

If I keep trying to guess eventually I’ll be right via brute force.

On deck today:

Buyers - Ottawa (Center, D), Calgary (everything), Colorado (depth), Buffalo (big surprise trade from Kevyn), Jets (big surprise trade from Chevy), maybe Pittsburg (idk), maybe Toronto (they’re smoking the good stuff right now)

Sellers - Red Wings (that back to back was pretty awful for them), Capitals maybe (go big or go home), Nashville again maybe (same as Capitals), Hawks (gotta get some value), Canucks (the buyer will win the deal), (wishful thinking but probably not but since I said that maybe so: Blues - I just want them to do stuff, maybe Saad, maybe one of the term defenseman, although that market is dead now)

Maybe Chychrun ends today. He’s kinda the best available. Lotsa teams have a legit shot at the deal like Buffalo and Ottawa, other teams could make the deal if another one came first like the Blues, maybe Pittsburg.

Listen, I know LA needs a solid goalie, but was Korpisalo the answer?

Well as you can see from the chart, Korpisalo's WAR/60 percentile rank has increased to somewhere between 75-80 this year. He's actually been pretty solid this season, all things considered.

Also save percentage is above the expected save percentage this year.

I wonder what the ask is for Lawson Crouse (Ari).

4.3 AAV, 4 more years of term

25 1/2 years old, perfect term for his age
Has hit 20 goals, at 19 right now
Is a big boy at 6-4 215
Tons of hits, positive shot generation, primarily 2-way focused winger, and doesn’t suck at skating, the opposite

Somewhere between Greenway and Wilson, with a dash of Lucic. Kinda stone hands relative to elite top 6, but exchanged for physical play.

That player has enormous value.

The teams “retooling” should be all over it if it’s possible. Blues, Capitals, Kings, maybe Flames, hell even Toronto/Edmonton, or upcoming teams like Buffalo, Jersey, Wings, etc.

As a blues fan I’d pay 4 firsts (2 in 2023, 1 in 2024, and an A prospect) and Jordan Kyrou plus Calle Rosen for Chychrun and Crouse

Given Jensen was just extended, I'd expect TvR and one of Eller/Sheary to be traded today. Maybe MacLellan waits until Friday for his big finale, though.

Eller has to be traded no questions asked. You don't keep a 33 YO pending UFA around if you don't plan on competing this year
