The Kings won't give up anything of value for Matthews. If he wants to sign in LA, he will do so as a UFA. Absolutely no reason to trade for him.

No it doesnt start with Clarke. The Kings can wait to sign Matthews as a ufa or just continue on their own path. They do not need Matthews. This offer above is complete lunacy.

No way man , he's on a record run in not on the NHL by all North American Sports
6 straight years with playoffs 1st round game 7 elimination loss's with Matthews set to lead TML to a 7 straight years.
He's out there ever games working hard to set a record no one in any north american sport will be able to touch .

No way the leaf fans gives up.
Being the longest team without a cup isnt enough
Being the most consecutive losing team since 2005 in the Playoffs
That and all records tied to it are going to be TML's if Auston Matthews has any say in it

There is no reason for this trade to happen. the kings all set for a few years. what would happen when his contract is up? they won't be able to keep him unless they move a franchise icon like drew or anze, or maybe Fiala.

I don't think the Kings will sell low on Turcotte. However, I think Matt Roy is as untouchable as Drew Doughty. He's not going anywhere.
