The Columbus, Montreal. Pittsburgh and Islander deals are awful for the Jets. Detroit says no to the other one.

Jets shouldn’t just tie up money for the sake of tieing up money, term and money on older players hasn’t overly worked in the past, I’m hoping they have learned some lessons but we will see

and passes, Scheifele is heading for the wrong side of 30. And Pionk and Scheifele aren't worth 3 1st and a 2nd on top of Chiarot, Zadina and Fabbri. No way Yzerman would ever make this trade.

You could switch Scheifele for Connor and I'm not sure I'd take it. 3 1st rd picks is a lot and Detroit isn't one player away from contending.
