I don't like either option. I'd trade both of them for a forward who can score a goal.

Neither side comes out happy. Cossa has not been good enough to warrant being the centerpiece of a Hart trade, and the Wings should want something more consistent than Hart given Husso's insane inconsistency.

Cossa been a huge part in the Walleye's 18 game winstreak (largest in ECHL history). Yes, he's in the ECHL, but he has had a .944% in his last 10 games.

Hart has played great this season. But I can't trade Cossa for him. Stevie is going to be patient with Cossa. He'll play at least 2 seasons in Grand Rapids.

Admittedly I don't know much about goalie development but I feel like if you draft a goalie over Wallstedt he should be in the AHL

What's so special about Hart? There are good short term UFA goalies this summer and Wings keep Costa and their second.
There are good RFAs that could be got for a second rounder. Up to 4.3m could get you Swayman or Samsonov.

You don't trade a 24 year old NHL starter for a 20 year old that hasn't proven he can play at the AHL level let alone NHL. Carter Hart was playing 31 NHL games at Cossa's age.

I wanted Wally. I wanted Hughes. But nothing we can do about that now. I just hope Stevie is right about Cossa like he was right about Vasy.

Maybe it's the fact that outside of one awful year, he puts up solid numbers while being on one of the worst teams in the league.

What do you mean Cossa has not been good enough? Dude has a around a 1.00 GAA with .965% SVP in the past couple months with Toledo. He's absolutely dominating the ECHL. Next transition will be AHL. Patience is key with him. Cossa will be better than Hart. He's only 20.

Wallstedt was touted as having the more refined game, whereas Cossa has the higher ceiling but a "raw" game.
I'd compare Wallstedt vs Cossa to Power vs Edvinsson.
Power - Great, close to NHL ready from Draft
Edvinsson - Extremely high ceiling, but unrefined game.

Jesus..."Edvinsson has the highest ceiling of the draft"

And now I know why you think a 22 year old that was drafted in the late 2nd is an A prospect tears of joy

That doesn't answer the question.

Not trying to bait at all. If you really think that Edvinsson had a higher ceiling than Power, you need to take a look at your homer bias because it's insane.

I guess he forgot the part where the stars had Edvinsson as their #1 prospect in the draft as well as a few other teams coming out saying they had Edvinsson ceiling higher then power too. Just ignore him, he's a flyers homer who literally doesn't know anything about what other teams value and only has glasses for what would fit for his team

I hate it when someone argues a point that can literally be disproven by searching up "Owen Power Ceiling" and "Simon Edvinsson Ceiling" and reading the articles that appear.

24yo unknown vs 20yo unknown. I'll keep the 20yo and pick.
