Vancouver asks why you are trading a C for a winger who isnt as good for 1 for 1

Also, shouldnt you be trading your guy that is walking in a years time? AKA Matthews

Where’s a first+ attached wit Mitch? Does he play centre? Didn’t think so, dont get me wrong, Mitch is good, but he no longer has RFA rights and is on a market contract, not a value contract and is expiring soon, EP40 is worth way more as it stands right now

Canucks decline. Pettersson plays the more valuable position, is cheaper, and is an RFA upon expiry. Canucks already have too many wingers as is, makes no sense to trade one of our only 2 good centres for another winger.

Alex Steeves would never get further up the depth chart than #3C in Ontario and Victor Mete isn't an NHLer, either. The RD you'd get from us for those two stiffs is Otto Salin.

Vancouver Declines: Petterson is a C and has team control
Devils flat out decline; RIley is not worth his 7.5M contract

Devils are only trading Bratt for another forward or an impossibly good offer. LD is not a position of need and Rielly (and his contract) are not wanted.

2 things. 1, Marner is worth way better than Petterson. They should get Kuzmenko and maybe even Miller in return and 2, TML could get Sheshterkin or Ullmark with that last trade

In what world is Marner worth more than Pettersson? They are both elite two way players, but Pettersson plays the more valuable position. Marner is a UFA in two years, while Pettersson is an RFA with team control. The Leafs would easily be the ones adding here, not the Canucks

Devils do not need defense and theyre not giving up one of the top young wingers in the league for a 3LD. and they arent going to have trouble paying for him, they have more than enough room
