Way more than we can give. Kasper, Berggren and our first this year probably. Maybe Raymond has to be involved.

As a huge fan of both teams (WPG 1A, DET 1B), I find it hard to come to a deal that works for both sides. If WPG were to move Connor, I'm gonna assume that means full rebuild but as mentioned above, I'm sure it would have to be a Kasper/Berggren/maybe even Raymond going back the other way? I wouldn't want to do that if I was DET.

That is what i figured. In that case, I'd rather wait a year or two. One, to see where Raymond improves to. Package him if he doesn't significantly improve. Two, we need to see what we have in up and coming forward prospects.

Yeah Connor wouldn't make this team a playoff contender and honestly the pieces we need to draft and develop are far more important than he would be. Maybe when he hits free agency he comes home. We just have too many holes still within the organization that need to be filled with those picks we have.

Agreed. We have too many holes to fill with those picks. Jets could do a quick retool with UFAs if they wanted too. I bet one or two years max of being fringe and back up to contender.

Past first, present first and future first depending on cap back and how heavy is the jets tear down.

Yeah, that makes perfect sense. My thought was if we got him now. He could build chemistry with larks and anyone else on the first line. Our Def will be learning but pretty decent in 2-3 years. Then when our experience and skill push us into the playoffs we look for those 2 or 3 toughness and special teams pieces we need. It's tough to find the big scorers/ top forwards available for trade.

I really like Raymond and Berggren. But would package them both along with future picks. I would hate to see Kasper go unless we somehow ended up with a top 2 pick this year. I would not be willing to get rid of this year's 1st or Kasper. So like everyone is saying we don't have the pieces or aren't willing to part with what will be needed.

But if the Jets are forced into a rebuild then it makes zero sense to keep him. His numbers will significantly drop if PLD and Scheifele are gone. I love KFC but this may be his highest value right now.
I would hope that Chevy (or his replacement) know the intentions of Scheifele and Helly prior to the draft, assuming PLD is gone as well. If they indicate they want out, jump start the rebuild now and maximize everyone’s value.

I don't know about Kasper and Berggren, but I wouldn't trade Raymond.
He definitely hit the sophomore wall this year, so I expect a Stutzle-like rebound 3rd season from him.

Yeah it will be interesting to see how it unfolds. Wheeler is getting old. Would be smart to get the most for Connor now. Like you said who knows what helly is doing. PLD is gone. They have some very nice young pieces. But will be losing most of their top talent/ vets. It will take a few years for youth to step in and get acclimated. Will Connor stick around for his next contract? It's a pretty chaotic next 2 or 3 years for them to see where they are at.

I think Raymond will be a very good player. I'm not wanting to get rid of him. Not down on him because of his season. I just question what his ceiling is. Will he top 80 points on a great line? I'm 50/50 if he's capable of 80 plus points. Can he hit 30 plus goals? Connor is a proven goal scorer and has already put up points. So it's a tough call.

I would think if peg move conner it's a retool not a rebuild so they'd want pieces to help them now. That's Raymond or Edvinsson maybe Ras or Berggren included then hopefully they take a prospect or picks to make it enough to want to move him.

I personnaly don't have any doubt about Raymond. The guy will be a force starting next season.
Sure Connor has put up points, but he's already in his prime. Raymond still hasn't showed what he's capable of.
I believe in a few years, we will laugh about the idea of trading Connor for Raymond 1v1, and it's not a take on Connor at all.
