So I am going back and forth on who would be best partner for power defensive guy or puck mover two way guy. I just don’t see power becoming an elite offensive dman like dahlin and think he could benefit more from a guy like this because he will help with breakout pass and skating puck out of the zone.
The reason sami and dahlin work is because Sami is elite defensive guy and can bail dahlin out when he rushes the puck and when they need to breakout dahlin is elite skater and puck handler. So he can skate it or rush it out. Power doesn’t have that luxury so having complimentary player who can help him could be wat he needs. I see power has elite two way dman.

As for Levi. We are a playoff team with average goaltending. We need insurance goalie who can play 60 games if Levi struggles. I can’t see him being able to play 50+ games as a rookie without any AHL experience

10 straight years of top ten picks with 2 first overall and 2 second overall....it's about time.

Keep hating on Sabres. Not many rosters in the league I would take over this one for next ten years.

Why does COL do that? They don’t get a center, they don’t get cap space, the two things in the world that COL wants when making a trade.

Probably don’t even need to make either move. Really just need to mature…youngest team in league was in mix until final week of season. Probably a wild card team next year…truly competing in 2024-25.

I would go for a physical defensive d to pair with power. We are just way too easy to play against in our own zone, and it's nice to see dahlin not taking any crap, but I don't want power or dahlin to feel like they need to be their own enforcers.

No hate at all, just a statement of fact.

Girard is an interesting idea but I'd like to see a defensive guy alongside Power. Mayfield or Murphy are my top choices. Borgen would be fantastic but highly doubt Seattle moves him. Markstrom is an idea but imo shouldn't cost a fraction of that trade, he was horrendous and that contract looks real bad right now. I'd rather just sign a UFA

Avs don't have the cap space to do that even with the retention and don't accrue any or get a 2C. Easy decline.
