Hire Quenneville

Youve gotta stay going all in. Kane returning seems inevitable if quenneville gets hired, and he wont take league min. Maybe 2-3 mil tho.

The FLO pick is the 17th OA if they lose to the Leafs and 29-32 if they win against the Leafs

That’s not enough for Laffy, and it’s too much for Ehlers. You have to look at how the rangers deploy their young talent before you go off on them. Laffy wasn’t good and he has to shoulder a lot of the blame for that, but it’s not all on him either.

Laf has done nothing, he isnt getting much more.

Ehlers with retention for two years easily gets two 1sts and then a B prospect and young asset. Ehlers is the prime example of not being used right

No take backs! Jets accept.

Jets probably don’t retain for two years imo

Ask Kirby Dach what he got on the trade market.

I wouldn't pay #17 for Laf. Even less if it comes with Goodrow's 4-years contract.
I'll pass.

2 absurd trades for the Rangers plus signing Kane is a total waste of money. Rangers easily pass on all of this nonsense.

Lol laf isn't being used right but doesn't get much more. Ehlers isn't being used right but is worth the moon... best you stick to the islanders

Ehlers is highly efficient when on the ice, but doesnt get much time.

They each were within 30 second average TOI this season... Laf also plays with better linemates

Rangers suck at developing, thats why Laf doesnt have much value. Laf also has not proven anything, Ehlers has. Ehlers also has great analytics, Laf does not.

This doesnt take a genius. Id proudly say Kakko is actually good. He doesnt produce a lot of points but defensively is very solid. Miller is a great defenseman, very underrated.

For example, Dach got 13OA in a much weaker draft and he (was) a center. Laf is a winger, and getting a mid to late 1st in a stacked draft. I get it that he was more highly touted but he also has less positional value.

I get what youre saying buy I don't think ehlers had worse linemates. The dach trade was just so dumb for Chicago I don't like using it in comparisons. Also the rangers can't develop a forward to save a life, kreider is the only forward the rangers have developed into a great player. I do think if laf was on almost any other team he'd be a star

Laf has insane skill and he shows it all the time. And he will 100% be a star on any other team. If the rangers wanted to be on it, they could trade for future assets with a few conditions (like if he scores 55+ points )

I hope they trade Kakko & Laff, like all the overreationaries want ... they will regret it long term.

If they were smart, they'd stay the course, let the UFAs go & sign Bertuzzi for some grit and two way hockey. Hope they dont.

can't sign Jones to that contract - RFA rules state he has to be qualified with at least a 5% raise so looking at a start point close to a 975K minimum.
No way Rangers make that Ehlers trade.
Re-sign LAF same deal as Kakko (2 yr @ 2.1mil). Re-sign Miller to deal a little higher than Lindgren (start point 3yr @ 4mil).
Only pursue Kane if he is actually healthy and will take a 1 year deal under 2mil.
Bjugstad is not going to sign for less than what he was making this year - start point for him will be at least 950K.
