I would like to only draft one D with our first 4 picks, this draft is deep at forward.

Murphy probably has decent value, but he hasn’t been good in. While I don’t think the Sabres would pay that price.

I didn't know where to value him. He had an underwhelming season last year (on Chicago, of all teams).

But Chicago fans regularly rip me apart when I suggest anything other than a 1st+. I don't think he gets that. I think a 2nd+ is fine.

Willander has been moving up, he's probably gone by 20. And I'm pretty sure that Phillys pick is 39 overall.

Boston 1st + Murray for Ottawa 2nd is how I see this going as well. I think that is very reasonable. But Leafs have a new GM. So I think a buyout has become much more likely.

Meh, probably a typo. I think I was distracted when making it.

Willander might jump because of him being a RHD.

Yeah, probably. We'll just have to see.

It would be a ****ty move for the Sabres to trade Johnson right after they signed him.

I doubt that we will trade Johnson when he was just signed, he will be useful to us in the near future.

Agreed. 3 Forwards and 1 RHD with our first 4 picks.

Also doubt Willander falls that much and no point us taking Dragicevic when we took Rinzel last year.

Sadly, Willander will not be available at 35th overall. Also, I would absolutely take him before I would take Dragacevic. Very little interest in Heidt too... At least not at 19th, depending on who is available.

Realistically, a package that is the equivalent of a late 1st in value is what CHI should receive for Murphy. Your proposal should get it done. We don't really have a need for LHD, but I like Ryan Johnson A LOT. Might just be recency bias from all the Golden Gophers games I watched this past season, though.

Neither Buffalo nor the Hawks make the Murphy trade. Hawks won't be trading Murphy for another LD. Vlasic will be in the spot that Johnson is in. This makes the Shatty signing unnecessary since Murphy is still a Hawk. If the Hawks sign a UFA C, it will be someone other than Drouin. They'd being Anthanasou back to play C before signing Deouin if it came to that.

The 2nd maybe, but the Sabres aren't trading their future 3P LD.
