Potentially low (discounted) priced acquisitions due to numourous factors.

Anyone I'm missing that could be had for lower than market value, whether for Cap/fit/depth chart reasons?

If you want to run it back sure, but I'm not entirely sure the new GM will want to do that

For sure they don't want to just run it back, but they can, and they won't be giving assets away just to change things up.

Not giving away, just less than market value, which they will probably get no matter who they trade (due to their lack of cap space and thus leverage)

I guess we'll have to wait and see. I think you're out to lunch on those players getting traded for below market value. I think a better plan would be to wait until the TD, and get the most assets for retaining some salary on a Backlund, or Tanev.

Boston needs to clear cap space:
That loses them leverage in any trade negotiation.

If they decide that DeBrusk is the odd one out of their winger group (which it is very possible they may not), then he would be available, at a below market value price due to Boston's cap issues. Same with whoever they decide to ship out. I put DeBrusk bc he is the only one I'd be interested in (not interested in a Hall reunion)

Reilly buyout and a Forbort cap dump frees up ~6mil pretty easily. People overstate how bad out cap situation is tbh, we aren't gonna get taken for a ride on any Debrusk or Ullmark trade like some people on here seem to think.

That leaves 10 mill to sign 10 guys including swayman who'll be at least 3
If you want to bring back either of Orlov or Bertuzzi thats 5 each at least.

It may be more prudent asset management to resign Bertuzzi Orlov and Swayman, while freeing up cap in other places (Gryz, Debrusk/Hall,Ullmark) and getting assets back, as opposed to losing guys for nothing

Sean Durzi for your 2024 first, which will be late, has some appeal.

You need to clear a spot for Clarke. Your 7th defenseman isn't getting that. 2nd-3rd is reasonable based on Graves, Marino, Siegs trades, all of whom were younger, better, with more control

He's our fourth defenseman. He spent most of the season playing out of position at #2 LhD. He also was our #2 PP QB.

There are too many teams that would be interested in DeBrusk. He can play LW/RW and score goals. There would be a bidding war for him and at worst he returns a fair market value.

It all depends on who boston does/doesn't like. those are more so guys I would target, but basically whoever boston decides they can't keep should be available at a discounted price

They aren't going to move the 4m AAV guy with 27 goals in 64 games at a discount to help with the cap. They ain't getting a better value than that in their cap crunch.

Yes, Forbort, Reilly (either as a buyout if that's what it take) and moving Gryz get them enough to call up kids from the minors and give Swayman 4+. After that, yes, they may decide that they want to make other moves to make the team better, but it ain't gonna be under duress.

okay then we'll take another one. You can only play 6, maybe 7 in some weird scenarios but not for a full season
Anderson, Doughty, Roy, Clarke, Walker, Spence, Gavrikov, Durzi.
