    Hawks gm said they're not looking to acquire a goalie this offseason. But I could see Calgary getting a 3rd for him

    Burying Kevin Rooney costs a team 0.2% of the cap.. giving up a 2nd to get "rid" of him is lunacy.

    Additionally the Lindholm deal is incredibly poor value for Calgary.

    Why trade Rooney for a 2nd? Just buy him out and take the 400 k cap hit.

    His bury cap hit is 175K they wouldn't even buy him out. Just like Anders Bjork last year his trade value is purely future considerations.
