It's kind of nice after hearing from Montreal fans for over a year that PLD was 100% guaranteed to go to Montreal, that Montreal would give up nothing of value in return and that PLD would sign for whatever pittance they deemed fair.

The majority of us Jet fans that said that it would need to be a fair offer were right.

I just can't see how this happened with Montreal having all the leverage and Winnipeg having none.

How so? Vilardi has the capability of being every bit as good as Dubois if not better, Iaffalo is a good 3rd liner who is very good on the PK and defensively. Kupari is an unknown with 2nd-3rd line potential and a Mtl 2nd which is probably going to be in the 33-37 pick range. Dvorak is a 3rd line center at best, Kidney, Beck may be a 2C but that is an unknown and the 1st pick is #31.

We get 3 NHL players with team controlled rights plus the pick.
