What do the Rangers use to pay Hoffman, bottlecaps? They have no cap room for an overpaid forward, no thanks.

No need to put Schueney back, you could easily play Barron or Honda Civic on the off side. Dvo imo could go for more near the end of fa(which is reportedly what KH is waiting for)

Hawks and Rangers obviously decline. You can't honestly think Montreal actually gets any assets for Armia and Hoffman. Not even sure the Dvorak trade is that realistic.

Rangers have no cap for Hoffman and even if they did, you overestimate his value. The market for high-salary players is terrible in this flat-cap year.

Dumping cap will cost you regardless of player quality at this point. Someone who may have gotta a pick back a month ago is now a FC or costing a pick to move. Hawks probably wouldnt do that trade if you included a 3rd and 5th with Armia for FC. Rangers arent doing that trade no matter the sweetener, because they cant take on the salary.
