Like the signing and price but we have too many bottom 6 forwards.

You can’t have too many depth guys. This is a great low risk medium reward pickup.

I know what your saying and agree, but I thought on a down year we’d at least give a few of our draft picks a chance. Guess that tells us how management feels about our guys in the system.

Hall, Zacha, Boqvist, Walsh, Grier, Bowers, Haula, Lazar…by 2027 NJD and BOS will have swapped entire teams

Good signing. Boqvist is very fast and can play any forward slot. Has remade himself into a bit of a forechecking center in recent years…spent a lot of time as Devils 3C last year. Has some skill, but don’t expect a big jump in points from last year.

Here is a nice little clip of Boqvist walking Pietrangelo

I'm guessing this means they don't trust any of the prospects at 4C? Between Boquist, Geekie, and Brown there's way too many guys who could fill that roll.

Could be more of an indication on the status of Bergeron returning.

Good deal for the Bruins. Useful depth, and the last time the Bruins poached someone from the Devils it worked out quite nicely

Could be that, or Frederic is pricing himself out of Boston.

Nah I don't see a scenario where Sweeney doesn't re-sign Frederic. His game is definition of being a Bruin. If it takes moving Forbort for cap space to sign Frederic, he'll do it.

I thought Boqvist was better than a minimum wage guy. I was surprised New Jersey didn't qualify him. If they didn't want him, I figured there would have been some interest if they tried to trade his signing rights. I think there'll be a spot for him in Boston's lineup if Bergeron and Krejci don't come back, and maybe even if they do.
