That deal is pretty bad for Vancouver. They easily pass on that.

Get's them out of cap hell for 2 years for the cost of a mid-late first round pick.

The ship on a deal with the Nucks sailed the day they bought out OEL. They are cap compliant currently with expected LTIR and Meyers will be relatively ease to dump (like a 3rd or 4th) after his bonus is paid. Boeser may be slightly overpaid, but for a team that is cap compliant he is not a dump. I am a big fan of Kurashev, but in this proposal he has net value of a lateish first.

They really aren't in cap hell after the OEL buyout. And it's a 1st and a top 6 winger for Kurashev and a bunch of scraps.

I'd also add that TMyers signing bonus will be paid shortly and then a team like AZ will likely accept him for future considerations. Yes, he's overpaid for what he provides, BUT AZ is a team that'll want a veteran presence and it'll only cost them $1M. TMyers should be pretty easy to move after his bonus is paid.

canucks are already cap compliant

boeser is a good player

myers has one year left, no reason to dump him unless you're getting value back

canucks aren't in the business of trading first for cap space

every piece coming back to van is suck to mid teir. none of the pieces have any tangible value or move the needle.

easy no

Getting out of our non existent cap he’ll by trading a top 6 winger, a first round pick for dumping 1 year of Myers? Terrible

Canucks easily decline. They aren’t paying to dump either of those players.

Take Boeser out and put Garland in.
So trading Myers and Garland for those players would make sense.
Agree or disagree?

I think Vacouver considers without the 1st rounder. Myers straight to Chicago with the cap hit has been reported as a straight 2nd to Chicago.... in lieu of the 2nd and Kurashev and the other pieces they might get Boeser.
