When Hellebuyck basically refuses a trade anywhere else the market and return value shrink. For a guy that says he's leaving they will be luck to get the 2nd round pick and an above avg goalie in return. No teams in contention can afford Hellebuyck or even need a goalie.

And Yzerman immediately signs him for $80m/8 years and he becomes Bobrovsky 2.0.

This trade is donkey Doo for Winnipeg.

Regardless, we should not be targeting Hellebuyck.

Hellebuyck doesn't have a NMC. The jets can trade him wherever they want. To say they'll be lucky to get a 2nd is laughable. I'm sure he'll draw a lot of interest, especially at the deadline.

A 3 time Vezina nominated 1A goalie who has won once with no injury issues for barely a 1B, more like a backup goalie and a couple of whatever picks?

Definitely a troll post to gain the ire of WPG JETS fans, because this is obviously a clown offer.

A. Winnipeg doesn't even take this call. This is woefully under value.
B. Detroit is in no position to trade for Helle. If he wants to take a team friendly contract to come home as a FA in the off-season, hell yes, but I'd say that's very unlikely. He will want to cash in on his next contract and I doubt Yzerman gives him the money or term he wants

Why would he do that?

There's so much wrong with this statement. I'm curious if you absorb news firsthand or if a drunk homeless man just reads NHL fanfiction and shouts them back at you.

He can get a better return as a pure rental. He doesn’t have any trade protections

He doesn't have to have a NMC? DeBrincat pretty much forced his way onto Detroit. Hellebuyck could do the same with another team. He could say that he'll only sign long term with the New Jersey Devils. And if Kevin Chevelldayoff wants to maximize his return. Then he gets dealt to New Jersey at a reasonable extension.
