▐▐▐ ▬ My Pens Moves Explained ▬ ▐▐▐

1} - MUST get a Young 3C = Lundestrom is a Perfect "Buy Low" after sophomore slump yr (last yr)
- has the 2-way game to keep Sully happy & has The Skill to play Top 6 Center if 87 or 71 are out for a cpl gms.
- If 34yr old Eller is the 3C, we just are NOT a Playoff team

2} - MUST get a Young Top 6 Winger for 87 or 71 = Wahlstrom another "Buy Low" after injury player
- He is probably more of a middle 6 winger but could be the exact type of young legs Sid could use at this point of career
- Rusty is still a good player but more of a 3rd liner now, he just cant be in Top 6

3} - Petry - yah he did NOT fit in Pens D-system here but he is still good Top 4 RHD & IMO still has value
- Dellandrea - another Young Forward this old /slow team desperately needs, have been trading for him for last 4yrs, Love him
- Hakanpaa - a D-man w/ size & plays physical on Pens?? IMO, hes a cheaper & more physical Rutta.

4} - EK65 - I absolutely LOVE EK65 but This is a Huge Risk & why this is the very most i could pay.
- EK65 - is a 33yr old Injury Prone player w/ a Horrible Contract, Has a NMC, & Both Team & player want a Trade??? Why Pay a Ton??
- Kahkonen - Only 26yr old Goalie coming off a rough yr, would def give him a Chance & also have Ned.

5} - Sign LHD- Caleb Jones to battle or share time w/ Ty Smith as #3LHD
- Keep Ty Smith as #3-#4 LHD & if Injury to either Injury Prone #1/ #2 RHD Letang or EK65, Ty Smith can play Top 4 on Right side too.

6} - Love all the Depth in AHL for this team, just LOVE it

Absolutely no point for Anaheim to ‘sell low’ on Lundeström

We decline

Whatever gave you the impression that Isac Lundestrom "needs a change"?!? He's coming along nicely and staked a claim to our #3C slot from which he'll have to be ejected. Alex Nylander doesn't give us anything at RW we don't already have and Jan Rutta is a 6/7 defenseman not worth more than a fifth.

Nah not trading Dellandrea for Petry, even if he comes half-retained via other route.

I don't think you even get Kahkonen from the Sharks with that package.

Lundestrom is an NHL player.

Nylander 2 isn't, and Rutta is an overpaid depth D.

If we're looking to move Lundestrom, we can get a better package elsewhere.

Why not just have SJS retain half for future considerations at this point? These Karlsson trades keep getting worse. Honestly what part of the SJS trade is enticing for SJ.

Lol, just silly from the first sentence. They signed Eller to be the third line center and have said so multiple times. Somehow, it gets sillier from there. 😂

Hahaha yeah I'm surprised it took that many comments before someone got to the load of crap in that trade.

The $11 million cap dump?
The 38-year-old moribund cap dump?
The backup goalie?
The B prospect?
The NHL bust currently under a 5-season contract in Sweden?
The future second?
The $16.4 million the Sharks are paying out for Karlsson NOT to play for them?
Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Hard pass from San Jose. $16 mil in retention and a ton more cap coming back for…. basically nothing
