It's funny how pretty much every player on the Jackets gets painted with the "can't defend" brush. It's almost like it might have been a systemic issue with Larsen and it might be a good idea to reserve judgement until Babcock gets his hands on the team.

I advocate that Provorov, Severson, Werenski, Peeke, and even Gudbranson for that matter CAN defend, albeit none of them are elite at it, but the likes of Boqvist and Bean are both very much liabilities in that department

Offensive defensemen aren't the type of players that take longer than average to develop, these guys should be hitting their stride no later than age 22 or 23

There is no need for cap space. He is only making 2.6 million and they would be much better off moving someone like peeke or buying out Elvis or gudbranson

Over giving boqvist over for literally nothing? Yes absolutely. If you don’t like him and think he should be traded then fine but he is still an asset that can bring back a return so giving him away for nothing is just a dumb move when there is no need to.
