I'm not just looking at what aspect of what a GM could do, I'm looking at a combination of elements whether thats trades, signings, and drafting, or cups and playoff series wins

Brisebois housed be an overrated GM... And Prob. put Dubas as either underrated or OK GM and have Yzerman as a great GM

Dubas has no business going anywhere those lists after winning one playoff series in 5 years. As for Brisebois, his two cups / two rings says it all

IDK about Briere but Habs fans are acting like Hughes is the best GM in the league and he can do no wrong... Especially after making some questionable decisions

The 2 cups rings that were given to him by Yzerman, he just went in and destroyed TB's farm club and draft capital while overpaying for players (Hagel, Jeannot etc.)

Whereas Dubas did all he could, but he wanted to move out 1 of the core 4 to try and get a cup and got fired for it...

So you know nothing about Kevin Cheveldayoff? find one trade that he has lost, hardest job in the league, he is top 5 in the league. From drafting to team managment he has been great given his circumstances. Do some research before you disrespect him like that.

Holland terrible?
Look at the oilers roster before and after he took over… added significant really good pieces on value deals such as Kane and hyman signed nuge long term for less than he was already making. The playoffs every year lost to the eventual champions each of the past two years. Criminally underrating his work.

Overpaying for an aging Ekholm

Kelly McCrimmon as a good GM... I ain't so sure about that. He's the dude that traded Pacioretty for nothing, he's the one that moved Suzuki for Pacioretty too I believe. He did the Eichel deal which has certainly been... well, something. He won the cup, absolutely congratulations and well done. Maybe it's ownership that wants the new shiny things all the time...
