How the hell are the Rangers gonna fit that in their cap. Drury says not a chance. Also Goodrow definitely has Toronto on his NTC.

Hes not going to Toronto, hes going to Anaheim and if he were i doubt he does considering hes from Toronto

And the rangers would gain 3m in cap with this deal bringing their total to 5m. enough to give Laffy a contract and a little extra for Lindgren or Kakko the next year

    Never mind the cap issues.

The return in JT is crazy. After seeing what the Karlsson return was after winning a Norris, no my way Drury does is if Treliving spikes his Kool-Aid. Not a chance the Rangers accept.

Goodrow wouldn't have to worry. Drury blocks his number, email and maybe calls the Pentagon for an air strike.

    The offer is beyond horrible.

Karlsson had 4 years left and is a wreck defensively. Grier is also not a good gm in any way. JT for 2 years is worth a bottom pairing d man and a borderline 2C. Neither really have the upside to go much higher.

JT would say no with his NMC. He's going nowhere.

Even after the deal expires, he'll re-sign for whatever Treliving will give him. I think he'll retire a Leaf.

They also have to fill roster spots after trading 3 roster players for essentially 1.

Miller is way more than a bottom pairing D lol. Horrible assessment of a guy that played over 21 minutes a game last year and threw up over 40 points.

Chytil is becoming a solid 2-way 2C - 45 points playing under 15 minutes a game. Another horrible assessment. I can't be bothered to get into analytics but it would solidify my point.

Asking for two players under 25 where the ceiling has not been reached yet is reaching too far on a JT return. To suggest they have reached their ceiling is a very very bad take.

When a Leafs fan is roasting the trade.... it a bad trade.

No they didn't and they have to replace 2 players since they traded 3 roster players for 1

Swap Chytil and Miller with Trouba and the value is actually in the ballpark.

Treveling just gave Reaves a 3 year deal. That dude thinks Goodrow is properly paid and Trouba is a valuable top 4 Dman with leadership.

Chytil scores more often than Tavares at even strength anyway.

Fixing the Leafs cap issues by dumping them on another team* would be a better title. As far as your trade go, I wouldn't trade Miller for Tavares 1 for 1, even if you retained on him. Adding in Chytil is delusional as well. I love love love that you called Miller a bottom pair defenseman and then put him in the top 4.
