I'd trade Barron as well ASAP. I dont see the upside. Decent puck mover, decent size, handiness. Deal him somewhere like Buffalo that cant attract players with clauses or free agents.
I have Mailloux/Reinbacher as the higher upside guys on the right. They have to do something with this log jam on defence. Petry hasnt been dealt yet so I assume this well go into the year. May as well have him around as a placeholder and deal next Summer or the TDL.

Sabres are at the point to trade prospects and picks for a good player. Not trade a promising player for more prospects and a pick. Don’t even think about that trade

Well the late 2nd is a late 2nd. But your other value conversions are skewed.

no idea why the Sabres would do this, JJP is already solidified as a middle-6 guy with some upside left, while Barron & Kidney are more projection than anything else at this point.

Buffalo is more likely to trade for players like Peterka, not trade Peterka for other unproven prospects. Buffalo is soon to be in position to trade unproven prospects for more proven talent.

Buffalo is equally likely to do neither of these things. They wont trade guys they draft and develop, and they wont trade picks unless its lower end late 2nds/ or 3rds.

OK, I will be the fly in the ointment.
Peterka was obviously a steal in the second round.
Take out Kidney and replace Colorado 2nd for your 2014 first to get my attention.
Buffalo would still say no, but you at least hove our attention.
