Noah Cates isn't underrated. He's only played 1 season. He's simply not rated at all.

He's in the top 10 most overrated players. Nylander should be on here since he's the only 40 goal scorer from last year who somehow is still just a middle 6 winger with little value.

Dude was projected to be a 4th line winger and ended up being a 2nd line center as a rookie learning to play a new position and ended up with Selke votes for being one of the best defensive forwards in the league and one of the best rookies in the league and yet most fans don’t even know his name lol I would call that underrated

That doesn't make him underrated, Juuso Parssinen basically did the same thing this year. It makes them unknown. Players who are underrated are guys who have been around but don't get nearly enough credit for what they do.

I wouldn't have Cates, Roy, or JEE on this list. I would however probably have Carter Hart on my list. A couple more off the top of my head are Nik Ehlers and Mikey Anderson. Maybe Killorn too
