▐▐ *At the very least The Pens NEED ▐▐

Eller is NOT a 3C anymore, Need a 3C that can produce,
take pressure off of 87/71, & play Top 6 Center if 87/71 are out

▬ 1- Younger Top 6 to 9 RW Forward :
Can NOT have a Top 6 or 9 of 95% 30+yr olds,

Must have a Vet 3- RHD w/ POJ or Smith,
Ruhwedel is a #7 on a Playoff type team.

Liked Ned as a #2 w/ DeSmith but Not now as our only option

▬ 1- Younger Top 9 LWer :

The issue with this trade is that the Islanders number one need is a speedy top six winger, and Boeser is not known for his foot speed. Also this organization won’t benefit from selling low on Pageau and Wahlstrom. Islanders decline imo.

Sabres have almost no reason to make that trade. No need to trade joker for an older worse dman. No need for another center prospect. No need to get rid of UPL who will be the backup/1b. It makes them worse overall.

Conditional picks based on a player re-signing aren't allowed by the NHL anymore (even when they were legal, I can't recall ever seeing one applied to an RFA before).

Regardless, NSH declines. Pickering would be nice to have, but not at the expense of Tomasino. The 2nd and Nylander isn't enough for Novak. Overall the value's tilted too much in PIT's direction.

Buffalo declines, I wouldn't Trade Joker alone for that. If Joker can find consistency in his game he will atleast be a good 3RD. He can play the minutes and is a really good skater. There were some nights last year I thought he was there best Dman. Needs to find that consistency IMO

Too much going on here. Dubas has made his moves, time for training camp to play out.

Top-six is going to be fine.

Hallander just signed a 5 year deal in his native Sweden, No team is touching him. As his NHL days are pretty much through.

Yeah pretty much this. Sabres have no need to send assets away without the return of a legitimate prospect, regardless of NHL role. Broz is probably Alex Nylander.

I won't take this space to fluff Joker, but he's more useful than the trade insinuates.

I was gonna say roughly this, although I'm not as interested in seeing jokiharju here either way. The package that was offered doesn't get a young right handed d, that is already a bottom pair (with middle pair ceiling) nhl player.

NSH declines. NSH has no need for Pickering as they already have a wealth of defense prospects, and with the signing of Molendyk this offseason, Pickering would very much a luxury and not one worth paying for at the cost of Tomasino, who has a possibility of flourishing in the top 6 of NSH playing a system that works for how he has played in the past under Burnette. Additionally, NSH isn't going to part with Novak for Nylander and a 2nd as it isn't enough to get Novak.

Very Fair, My thinking on Trade is other than that I LOVE Wahlstrom & think he could have a break-out yr...
Is that Lou is looking for an upgrade Top 6 Winger & as a Pens fan, I wouldnt like Boeser on Isles & think he could be great there

If you’re including Lybushkin, he was traded, and if you’re including Dahlin, then we only have 2 starting calibre LD. That doesn’t want me to trade someone who 21 minutes a game for us last year.
