That is an awful return for Nylander

Leafs need way more return for Nylander. Fabbri has injury history, and Rasmussen is a bottom-six forward.

You’ve proposed some questionable trades in the past but to each their own (go Leafs go) but this not good:
1/ seriously doubt he’s getting moved
2/ if he’s moved really seriously doubt he’s moved in division
3/ this is reprehensibly low return for nylander

I don't think these are the two pieces you want in return, but man you're taking on a good amount of cap as well. That's my thing. I don't think Toronto would want to take on much more than 3-4 million total in a return.

Well they are getting 2 players even though Fabbri struggles with injuries that cost over a mill less than the one player they are losing and overall the Leafs are 1.2M over having a 22 man roster regardless of what the numbers say right now because mcmann can play on our 4th line, Lafferty can walk doesn't have to be in the lineup properly structuring the lineup the Leafs are 1.2M over right now that's why jarnkrok goes out and they put a 900k player in his spot they can mark-up a 22 man roster to play.

Yzerman won’t trade for Nylander because he won’t pay him what he wants. So Detroit would be trading for 1 season Nylander.

Honestly I have to agree with the others who have commented you can get more for Nylander but it won’t be from Detroit.

Why even mention this? Dude was drafted 6 ****ing years ago and has played almost 250 nhl games. He's not a budding prospect with the new car former 1st rounder smell on him still.

I don't think the Leafs would part with Nylander for that low of an offer, especially to a divisional rival.

I understand, 2 players that are capable of 20 goals Rasmussen who is skilled and very big could become a solid player, Fabbri shown when healthy is top 6 but the argument that it's not enough is valid 100%

In terms of the same division I don't agree if you get what you want back again very few teams can contend with the leafs if they move Nylander for someone that fits well in their lineup they beat whoever Nylander goes to or they have to believe they do so shouldn't matter too much but if this package is not enough then I get it but the player that goes to the Leafs will OBVIOUSLY be not as good as Nylander.

I think you made a mistake, you put Nylander in the trade instead Järnkrok.

The Leafs are the team that needs to move out cap so they are not going to get the upper hand in the deal how would jarnkrok return Rasmussen by himself even but with Fabbri included I am baffled there is no player on detroits daily lineup that the Leafs would get for jarnkrok, not one.
