Hayton

Rossi
Frost
Turcotte

Although if Rossi doesn’t progress much this year I’d bump Frost in over him.

With Glass added after I posted, he’d be under Frost but ahead of Turcotte.

Have you ever looked into Johnston? Have you looked at what he has done over the past 2 years?

There is a reason why all the rest of us have him as #1

Would probably lean towards…

Johnston
Hayton
Frost
Pinto
Turcotte
Rossi
Glass

I think all of them will be good.

I’d agree, I think Johnston is quite comfortably #1 on this list.

Why so high on Turcotte? His AHL stats are really really underwhelming. Rossi is out performing in the AHL by a long margin.

There's only one player on that list who has the ability to become a first line superstar and its Marco Rossi.

He had one good season. He's Tanner Jeannot 2.0.

The former.

Rossi has by far the highest potential of all these players.

I'm not sold on either Rossi or Turcotte. Rossi hasn't been able to translate his AHL game to the NHL and Turcotte just hasn't looked very good at all.

People are sleeping on Glass. His offensive game is still growing but had some great defensive metrics last season. Could round out as a good defensive 2/3C

Calling Johnston a Jeannot 2.0 is the wildest take ever considering they are two completely different players. Johnston has an incredible scoring touch and is much much better defensively. 24 goals at 20 years old in his rookie year is not even close to a comparable in Jeannot lol

Putting Rossi at the top is insane considering dude has played 21 games across two seasons and has a whopping 1 point. He may still have some upside but ranking him number one is.... eh....

I am high on all of them. In a way, he has been similar to Hayton...both overdrafted a bit, had some fluky injuries. I think the production will come.

Here are all their AHL stats through D+4

NAME.....GP -- G -- A -- Pts (ppg)
Rossi.........116 -- 34 -- 70 -- 104 (0.89 ppg)
Turcotte.....91 -- 18 -- 38 -- 56 (0.61 ppg)
Frost...........96 -- 18 -- 27 -- 45 (0.47 ppg)
Glass............22 -- 8 -- 9 -- 17 (0.77 ppg)
Hayton........35 -- 7 -- 9 -- 16 (0.46 ppg)

(Pinto and Johnston skipped AHL)

And same for NHL....

NAME.....GP -- G -- A -- Pts (ppg)
Johnston.....82 -- 24 -- 17 -- 41 (0.50 ppg)
Pinto...........99 -- 21 -- 22 -- 43 (0.43 ppg)
Hayton.......94 -- 13 -- 18 -- 31 (0.33 ppg)
Glass...........66 --- 9 -- 13 -- 22 (0.33 ppg)
Frost............22 --- 2 --- 5 --- 7 (0.32 ppg)
Rossi...........21 --- 0 --- 1 --- 1 (0.05ppg)
Turcotte.....12 --- 0 --- 0 --- 0 (0.00 ppg)

Wyatt Johnston -- Highly skilled center who broke out at age-19 in NHL after being 1st rounder with 165 pts in D+1 in juniors

Tanner Jeannot -- Undrafted winger who broke out at age-24 in NHL in part to his heavy game and physicality.

I don't see any similarities between the two.

He’s an RFA there’s no scenario where he walks anytime soon.
