Johnson is 20 yrs old and had 40+ pts last yr, Timmins would be on his 4th team in 5 yrs, has had injury issues and plays poor defense.

That is one awful trade for the Dallas.
C'mon, more crazy talk about extension being part of a trade.
Why just Nylander? Leafs have 11 upcoming UFAs next summer. Shouldn't they all be traded?
Kinda strange that you think teams are looking for defence at TDL, then you have the Leafs trading two and getting one in return.

This is one of the funniest trades I've ever seen. A bottom-pair RD that would be on his 4th team in 5 years for a 20-year old, current 2C, that tied Beniers in rookie goal scoring last year. This trade isn't even close.

I love how everyone is talking about the terrible Dallas trade... But nobody seems to mention how bad that CGY trade is...

But I'll dissect it anyway; Hanifin would be a pure rental at 4 mill... McCabe offers a big body defensemen at 2 mill for another 2 years...

Nylander is better than Hanifin... Calgary would have to add retention on Hanifin, replace the 2nd for Zadorov 50% and add in Lindholm at 50% for the Leafs to consider
