Girard is 9 years younger than Tanev, and imo better. If the avs were to trade Girard for some reason, they'd be going for a younger guy

TB passes they don't have the cap with Vasilevskiy to actually add Vladar nor do they think their goaltending situation is as critical as apparently you do. If TB seriously thought the needed to upgrade the position taking the much cheaper and only signed to the end of the year Stalock for free would have been the much better option.

I just don't see Flyers doing that because we are not ready to compete. Will Lindholm sign a LT extension with Torts in place? I don't know what kind of star player he is.

I could see the Avs trading Girard for a ufa dman like Tanev, however the sweetener will be more than a 2nd

The Avs aren’t making any trade that actively makes them worse and this trade absolutely does that.

Bad return for Lindholm, not that it makes any sense for Philly to trade for a rental.

Do you even know who Chris Tanev is? It doesn't take a genius to tell the difference between a very average undersized defenseman and the best defensive defenseman in the league
