Habs take a hard pass. Huberdeau’s production since going to the Flames is nowhere near worth his contract and he’s locked up for 8 more years.

The absolute WORST contrct in the entire NHL, on year 1 of 8, at 10.5 M AAV... and you actually want a 1st round pick going your way? AND Monahan.

I mean... we're past the laughing phase here.

Read the comments man. Look in the mirror.

NO ONE would want Huberdeau, EVEN if the Flames ADDED 2 first round picks, only to get rid of it.

In case the previous responses weren’t enough to convince you, the Sabres trade is absurd

Cozens is untouchable- FULL STOP
Even if Lindholm came signed, there’s no chance his contract would be even close to as good as Cozens’ deal is

Jokiharju is a young, & cost effective RD
No interest in Hanifin. We just signed Dahlin & Power to huge deals- not gonna being in another high priced defenseman
Zero chance

And Vladar is ABSOLUTELY NOT what we are looking for in goal
I can’t see any way at all we’d even be slightly interested in him

Sorry, but your trade proposal is Not gonna happen

The conditions on the CGY 1st owned by MTL takes a while to get a good understanding of. But best case scenario for the Habs (or worst case for the Flames) is MTL could get the 2nd overall pick in 2025 or the better of CGY and FLA 1st in 2026, but it depends on where both CGY and FLA place in the standings over the next 2 years….

So complicated lol

Very complicated

If CGY 1st rounder is between 20 and 32 in 2024 Habs have the choice to take that pick instead
If CGY receives FLO 1st rounder in 2025 as a result of the Tkatchuk trade) and CGY 2025 1st rounder is top 10 and FLO 1st rounder in 2025 is not a lottery pick, then HABS get FLO 1st rounder in 2025 instead.
If CGY does not receive FLO 2025 1st round pick and CGY 2025 1st round pick is 1st overall then HABS get CGY 2026 1st round pick unprotected

That pretty much sums it up
