Caps won't be trading Fehervary and a 1st for a rental. Just creating another hole where there doesn't need to be one.

Zadorov historically has been worth a 3rd round pick. I assume he will be worth a tad more. Maybe a 2nd + B prospect at most (with 50% retention).

Lily is a none start from the Leafs. And a 1st is highly unlikely for Zadorov as well. Both of them for Zadorov is a serious overpay.

I also think that Tanev should be worth a 1st on his own. So I think you are underselling him to Vancouver. Leafs would make that trade for Tanev immediately. You swapped Tanevs and Zadorovs values.

all of these values are extremely favourable to calgary. probably the vancoubver one is the closest one to fair but i doubt van dangles their first for this season for a rental

Not a chance. Just because Mercer has started slower doesn't mean we have any interest in moving him. He's got 3 goals in his last 4 and looks to be turning the corner here. He's as much part of this core as anyone

Mercer is not someone NJD would trade, especially for rental. I would imagine our trade ammo would consist of any picks we own and anyone not on roster (with exception to Nemec, Casey). Still plenty there to chose from.
