Random stat:

Looking at the last 30 years, the league leader in points has only won the cup twice; St Louis in 04 and Malkin in 09

For goal leaders, it's also twice; Crosby in 17 and Ovi in 18

Looks like this is going to be another epic goaltending duel.

Edit: Now 2-2 with 7 shots. (Should be 8, think Dostal wasn't credited with a save he made. Either way, defense is optional this game.

Pretty short leashes for some coaches with previously good records. The 8th and 9th active coaches by points percentage have now been fired this season. (Woodcroft was 8th)

Yea but man his playoff record was just yea not great I think it was under .300 win

Makes the Addison trade feel odd though as now his obstacle is gone lul

I had to change games; was watching the Bruins-Blue Jackets game and Jack Adams was so bad at calling the game it was annoying

The NHL is a joke. They constantly are and show why they are never going to be a challenger in the Major leagues (the “big 3, wait 4”).

Among other comical displays this last week:

THE TV BROADCAST, who is the Panthers broadcast, is showing a view of the Panthers goal which is VERY CLEARLY OFFSIDE ON NATIONAL TELEVISION. They even say “we’re not sure why this is taking so long, this will be called back”.

The refs call the goal ONSIDE, Panthers broadcast jokingly show the offside, clearly perplexed. Panthers score.

As it seems OTT got better things to do rn

Cause Dorion didnt fire him last year and the new guy might not be around beyond this summer
