Hmm, don't see a 1st + good prospect (Podkolzin) or Lekkerimakki + 3rd, Habs pass

In what world does Monahan go for more than typical deadline rentals? Horvat didn't even go for as much as your homer deal. If Monahan gets traded it'll be for closer than the proposed deal than whatever package that is

What are you talking about? 1st + 3rd is what Lehkone, Chairot and Toffoli all got and Horvat got way more than that.

Monahan maybe gets a 1st. Thinking he gets a 1st + either Podkolzin or Lekkerimaki is absurd

You’re asking for 1st + Lekkerimaki, which is more than Horvat got even though Horvat is much better than Monahan and was having an insane season

No, it's Lekkerimaki + 3rd or a 1st + good prospect not a 1st + Lekkerimaki, sorry for the confusion there

I read that wrong which is my bad, but still Lekkerimaki > Monahan

Monahan has been pretty bad for the last month, a 2nd + maybe a prospect is more likely

Why do you spend your life chasing Habs posts on here? Are you that bored in real life?

I agree that Lekky is worth more than Monahan. I think MTL will push for a 1st though. (His poor play is very excusable via the fact that he played with Anderson a lot recently)

They can maybe get a 1st from a desperate team if he plays like he was at the start of the year. Doubt the Canucks are that team though

Stay away from Monahan and go after a top 4 D
You guys could use a decent 2nd pair IMO. Yes Myers has been having a better than expected season so far but he’s 34 and at the end of his contract.

No worries, I don't think Monahan has played that badly just playing with Anderson (who is snake bitten) hasn't helped him. I don't think Habs let him go without a 1st or top prospect even if we have to retain

If that's the asking price for Monahan then he'll be in Montreal until he walks as a UFA.

Agreed, doubt the Nucks is a match. They don't need a 2C.

First, this is not an agressive offer for Monahan at all. Not even close.

Second, Vancouver a defensive defenseman, not a center.
