If Savard is on your first pair... you will have a bad time... Best 3rd pairing dman in the league, Ok 2nd pair, terrible first pair.

I would do that Blackwood deal.

Dowd deal probably too.

In think you are over valuing Savard though maybe. Don’t know if the difference between him and Ceci is worth XB swapped for a 3rd.

First two trades are great, would arguably say Dowd is worth a 2nd with Erne to get the retention.

Ceci is more valuable than Savard, isn't an upgrade getting him so just keep the first two and that's a decent upgrade to our squad and cap situation.

You don't need Savard, you need Kovacevic to replace Desharnais. The cost is a 2nd.

He Blocks a TON of shots at key moments.
Its actually why he's on IR he blocked i believe 3 shots one right after another and helped win the game.
Big Play Dave is his Nickname for a reason

People will go after him if MTL RS 50%
We'll 100% get a solid return

Ceci i'd pass on
If we're moving out a Dman its to make room for Xhekaj to return from Laval

Not true. Performance and salary don't always correlate.

Dont worry SJ wont. Not taking Campbell's awful deal, the picks to dump him and Broberg who is headed for top 10 bust territory for a guy who has played well.

No worries. Don’t turn your free asset goalie signing from the summer into the equivalent of two 1sts and a 4th for your rebuild lol. Cap space must be very important for you guys in the upcoming years. Have to be ready for that Cup run right?

Well I saw the best shot blocker in history in action for many years here in Edmonton in Kris Russel. I appreciated his sacrifice and it’s an effective way to defend at times. But I wouldn’t target a shot blocking specialist in todays game.

Tell me how he moves the puck? And tell me if he can skate?

No. That's simply a fact. The best players don't always have the highest salary and the worst players don't always have the lowest. Salaries are negotiated on past, perceived, and potential value. They are not tied directly to performance.

Bedard on his ELC and Vlasic making $8M have nothing to do with their stats. Savard isn't suddenly going to become a top pairing defenseman because you give him $10M.
Whether he's good value at $3.5M in a 3rd pairing role is debatable. IF he's the best (or worst) 3rd pairing D in the league (and I'm not saying he is), then it's because of his performance, not his cap hit.

You’re not just helping a team. You get are getting helped in return. And who cares about division, Van just traded with Calgary, Edmonton traded with Calgary a couple years back, you make a deal if it makes sense for both sides.
