The Flyers are 3rd in the Metro so that would be a bold move to trade a 1st line winger. Its hard to see that happening if they are still in a playoff spot.

Probably fair market value for Konency, however if he becomes available they’ll be a ton of suitors for him so any team that will acquire him will likely overpay. So I think for that reason Philly would decline this offer.

Good work though!

SJ should accept. It's a good amount of money/cap to take on for 2 years but that high 2nd might make it worthwhile.

Look at your cap space. What's the point of wasting a high 2nd to dump Schmidt?

I suppose if Koneckny is available, he is but only for an overpayment.

And PHI has cap space but so I would combine the two deals to make it Koneckny for Lucius, Stanley, Schmidt, WPG 1st, MTL 2nd. Stanley probably isn;t a huge plus (PHI is loaded with LD and physical guys) to the deal, but if PHI move Walker, Seeler, Staal at TDL, they could probably use a body or 2 at defense, and trade Schmidt next yr with retention (if he finds his game)

Agreed. That MTL second could be 33-35 overall (not too sure how second round order works).
Jets have the space and they can either buy out Schmidt next season or maybe find a trade partner with only the one year left
