I think the blues hold onto Hayes for this year. He's really a placeholder in our lineup while Dean/Bolduc develop in the AHL. If we do end up trading him he'll probably won't cost much but I think it will happen either in the summer or at next year's TDL

Hartman, Chinakov, Vatrano, Duclair and Berggren are probably out of the price range for pieces you are willing to give up for a bottom 6 player

Frankie Vatrano isn't a bottom-6 forward. He'd play on one of the top two lines at RW along with Bryan Rust. He's leading the Ducks in goals, points, even-strength goals, even-strength points, power-play goals, and power-play points, for goodness' sake. And he has a season left on his contract at a very favorable number. I'm betting that this time next year, we're already talking to him about an extension. To pry him away from Anaheim would probably take your 2025 first plus a good prospect. And you don't have a very deep prospect pool.

Yeah, Vatrano just isn't available, so talking cost is pointless because it would have to be a "we can't refuse" level offer for a 2nd line player making 3.6.

Boyd, Vatrano, Hartman Duclair and Sissons would be best fits. Likely the only affordable piece we can get is Duclair or Sissons. I would like the look of Sissons on our team. Think he would be a perfect fit.
