Leafs lack NHL depth on defence. Sure Leafs got on EK, but always sent a two right regulars in Brodie and Timmins and 7th Dman Benoit.
Sorry, just think the Brodie, Timmins, Benoit exchange for EK. Lagesson and Lajoie actually makes the Leafs defence worse this season.

Please no. This guy is a cancer in his own end. Should be a winger like Nylander and let him float in the neutral zone

Minny won't retain for 4yrs, they might for 2 but, the window to really compete starts in 2 yrs after the Parise\Suter buyouts drop to reasonable numbers. Also 4yrs of retention will cost you more than a 5th and 6th

yes the old "move the offensive D-man to wing" garbage...

also Karlsson has been rlly solid defensively for 90% of games this season. He and Pettersson have one of the best even-strength goal differentials for a d-pair in the league, so pls stop this misinformed ranting lol

Some team might give you a pick for Timmins but it won't be the Hawks

In what world is Minnesota, of all teams. doing all that retaining for a 5th and a 6th?

Also, EK 75% retained would have a cap hit of like 2.75M. But you won't be able to get him retained that far down. There's a lot of issues here, man.

Idk, for a 4th I'd do it. Put him with Vlasic or Phillips and see if there's chemistry. He's under team control for a few more seasons so why not see if he's worth keeping.

Timmins is REALLY poor in his own end. And the guy is constantly injured. Not one fully healthy season since he turned pro. He isn't worth a 4th.

I didn't know his defense was that poor. Seems maybe like a Rundblad comp then. If that's the case I'd pass too.

You must be outside your entire mind to think a team would retain almost 3M for 3.5 years for a 5th and a 6th lol, especially a team with 0 cap space like the Wild

All I'm asking is for one single person on this website to do the most basic research before making awful proposals

Thought experiment, what would it take? For me, at least two 1st round picks.
