Hagel is way more valuable than Zub. And Cernak for Zub is basically just an unnecessary wash. Cernak is a slightly better play making slightly more money.

Samuelsson and his long-term deal are not for sale, especially to a division rival unless the return is so good they just can’t say no. Odds are pretty good Tampa has no interest in doing that.

I think Girard may be available eventually, though unless he asks for a move he may not be available this year. LOC is extremely valuable to the Avs for what he delivers at the price so he's one of those lower line guys you'd have to overpay for. That said he could be moved if the Avs feel they can't re-sign him when Rants, Georgie and Bo all are due at the same time.

That’s actually a problem the Sabres seem to be having in general. Other teams don’t seem to wanna trade the guys we’d like to acquire….

We waited ages for Vaakainen to become a player, he's young and defensively responsible, I don't see a reason to move him now.

Vatrano is a modern Verbeek, it's incredibly unlikely he'd be moved, but hey, offer us a Jeannot trade and you might get your wish.

That’s actually a problem the Sabres seem to be having in general. Other teams don’t seem to wanna trade the guys we’d like to acquire….

Would love to make an actual hockey trade using mittelstadt or jokiharju, but at least on a site like this, people just wanna give up mid to low end futures for players like that.

I actually think we should hang on to Mitts & Joker
UNLESS it’s for someone “high end”

Otherwise, move a prospect or Clifton+ if it isn’t a major upgrade

LOL you are both correct.
Casey could be traded if management thought Kulich or Savoie or both were NHL ready by the TDL.
While Henri was put into Granato's dog house after the Jackets game, he has been one of the better defensemen and our best RHD, he is only traded unless the return is significant and management wanted to roll with 5 LHD (Johnson and Novikov added to the current roster).
So the Sabres would need to have NHL ready replacements before they would consider trading either of them for high end additions.
Casey for a young RHD e.g. Baron from MTL or Schneider from NYR.
To be clear there still may be other assets included as they may not be one for one.
