Penguins if they sell off alot

Created by: Connor_McJesus_97
Team: 2023-24 Pittsburgh Penguins
Initial Creation Date: Jan. 1, 2024
Published: Jan. 1, 2024
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Trades
1.
PIT
  1. DeBrusk, Jake
  2. Lysell, Fabian
  3. 2025 1st round pick (BOS)
Additional Details:
If Bruins wants to really go for it this is the move right here! You will have a really good top 6 here with a player like Rust!
BOS
  1. Rust, Bryan
Additional Details:
Man has he been on fire as of late! He is a hardworking rop 6 guy who complements star players very well. Alot of teams gotta be interested in this guy!
2.
PIT
  1. Heinola, Ville
  2. Lambert, Brad
  3. Salomonsson, Elias
  4. 2024 2nd round pick (MTL)
Additional Details:
Both Heinola and Lambert are good prospects that should be able to bring alot to the table for Penguins. Salomonsson should be a good bottom pair D man for them. Penguins are really adding some nice future pieces here. The 2nd is the cherry on top!
WPG
  1. Guentzel, Jake ($3,000,000 retained)
Additional Details:
I believe another team will have to retain some salary here aswell! Guentzel adds scoring depth to this Jets team and now they should have a fun playoff push ahead!
3.
PIT
OTT
  1. 2024 7th round pick (NYR)
  2. 2025 5th round pick (PIT)
Additional Details:
1.5m retention on Guentzel
4.
NJD
  1. Pettersson, Marcus ($1,525,175 retained)
Additional Details:
Man could the Devils use someone like Pettersson. With the retention I think you can demand the likes of Holtz. It certainly stings for the Devils to do that but this is necessary
5.
PIT
  1. 2025 3rd round pick (COL)
Additional Details:
He adds good depth and gets united with his brother
6.
PIT
  1. 2024 5th round pick (TBL)
Additional Details:
Tampa don’t mind getting a cheap player for a decent prize
7.
PIT
  1. 2025 7th round pick (CHI)
Additional Details:
With Perry gone they want to secure another veteran player
CHI
  1. Carter, Jeff
Additional Details:
I don’t know if any team is interested in him as he has not been so good as of late. But he could be a good mentor to Bedard so I think Hawks could do this for a 7th and then resign Carter to a 1x1
8.
PIT
  1. Reaves, Ryan
Additional Details:
Reaves has not worked out well for Leafs. Penguins might aswell grab him as he can protect the kids. Again I don’t know if Leafs would do this. Probably not I think. But is it really worth it to let him rot in the AHL? Also with Penguins rebuilding Reaves brings attitude and cN make for a fun show for the whole family to enjoy once in awhile
TOR
    Future considerations
    9.
    PIT
    1. Campbell, Jack
    2. 2024 1st round pick (EDM)
    3. 2025 1st round pick (EDM)
    Additional Details:
Oilers wants to move on from the Campbell contract. Penguins could definitely afford to do this

You’d have me damn tempted there. I’d rather give whatever other pick/prospects it takes to replace Holtz in your eyes but if push came to shove I’d have to think long and hard about accepting

Bruins decline. Need a center, not a soon to be 32 year old winger signed long term.

Stick to trying to fix your Oilers.

    These trades aren't good.

Easy no for Winnipeg. When has a rental ever returned that much?

    Jets Decline
Giving up to much for a rental we don’t need.
WPG needs 2C and 1RHD… that’s it, that’s all, nothing else…and we especially don’t need left handers

Boston would not trade any ONE of those three assets for Rust and that CONTRACT let alone all three of them.

    Oh boy… Let’s see…

Bruins Decline, they need a Center, not a Winger

Jets block your number. Wayyyyyy too much for a rental.

Devils definitely consider that, may try to change deal to picks though.

Avs probably accept. ALSO LOGAN AND DREW O’CONNOR ARE NOT BROTHERS!

    Tampa Accepts

I doubt Chicago wants Carter. They traded for Beauvillier to replace Perry. If they do want him (for some reason), they’ll probably have you cap dump Carter.

Pens decline Leafs. Sullivan hated Reaves when he was a Penguin back in the 2017-18 season, so I doubt Pens want him back.

Oilers would rather buyout Campbell than dump him to another team.

    We don't need the retention.
    Pitt looks lean on picks.
    Bahl and a pick.
    Slight add but nothing crazy

I’d give up bahl+1st fs. But if Pitt said the only way to get Pettersson was holtz and this was the deal, I think I’d take it
