To mess with LA. Causes depth issues and possible cap issues later when we try to re-activate Arvidsson.

That's assuming Vegas doesn't place him on waivers in a couple weeks when Theodore comes back and LA gets to re-claim him.

For the same reason that Edmonton claimed Troy Grosenick, Buffalo claimed Christian Wolanin, and Nashville claimed Sammy ****emo. Why not?

With the injuries, Vegas has the salary and roster space. Worst case scenario, they can pick Bjornfot's brain on the Kings system and put him back on waivers in a few weeks when Theodore and Hutton are healthy.

With waiver claims you have a 10-15% chance the guy turns out to be a decent player. Sharks got lucky last year with Eyssiomnt which they flipped at the TDL for a 4th and this yea with Embersom who might be more than just decent. But I could name a dozen others that did nothing.

A couple years back he looked like a player, then he got hurt. If he doesn't pay off, oh well. It's a no risk move that also potentially comes back to haunt a main conference rival.
