Zero chance the leafs are retaining on him and personally I’d pay a 3rd to dump him but I think Brad still loves him so I doubt he’s going anywhere

the leafs can bury reaves for a 200k cap hit if they want. but you can have a 5th to take him

Pretty sure Colorado would be happy with that. Also agree that RyJo is a good candidate for a quick flip for a team willing to give him minutes and then retain on him next year.

It's not retaining - it's is cap that I copied.

Yeah I think Avs would do that pretty easily, especially if there’s another move on the books for a 2C.

Johansen has been a poor fit in Colorado, I’m just not convinced he’s completely cooked as an NHLer. His contract is bad but could he find a role somewhere else down a lineup? Maybe. He might also just be trash at this point, idk.

I also think Beaucage gets overvalued on here pretty regularly by Habs fans. He’ll be on waivers next season if you want him then. Otherwise, I think he’s a prime target for a prospect swap.

I don't really see either Carter or Acciari being moved. Value-wise, I think a 3rd each, maybe a 3rd and a later pick, makes sense.
However, I think Acciari is out of his element a bit at 4C and wouldn't need to be dumped if he played on the wing. If the Pens got a 4C (or someone who pushes Eller down), they could put Acciari in a better spot.
As for Carter, his NMC basically kills a trade. I doubt he's willing to uproot his family again, so I can't see him waiving.
